Q: Where do you live?
A: I was born in Georgia and have lived here my whole life. I love the area I live in because of the cute downtown areas and how diverse it is. The weather is also pretty great as I’m not a big fan of the cold.

Q: What is your day job?
A: My day job is working as an interior design assistant. I love getting to be creative at my job and that each project our company works on is unique. Getting to wade through a sea of tile is always exciting! I’m partial to Mediterranean, Spanish, Scandinavian, Japanese, and French country design styles.

Q: What do you think about sustainability? Do you have any tips/tricks for sustainable and conscious living?
A: Sustainability is crucial, especially now. I have always been an avid thrifter because textile waste is an ever-increasing issue. It’s wonderful to give new life to clothing and it’s like a treasure hunt every time too! I recently thrifted a vintage sewing machine and have been teaching myself how to turn extra fabric into wearable pieces. My biggest tip for being more sustainable is just to start small. It’s okay to not be perfect - every step someone takes makes a difference. I have been a vegetarian for a long time due to moral and ethical reasons. I do simple things such as using reusable shopping bags, supporting ethical/sustainable businesses, and reducing unnecessary consumption.

Q: What is your favorite style from our collection?
A: The Sunny Vegan Rope in natural is my go to shoe always! I wear them nearly everyday, because they are crazy comfortable and go with pretty much everything I own. They are perfect!

Q: What is your go-to item in your closet that you can wear with anything?
A: My go-to item in my closet is my beige linen drawstring pants. I thrifted them awhile back and they can be worn with anything. They are easy to throw on and give a put together look without a lot of effort. I hemmed them myself so they are the perfect length and the drawstring means they can fit however I like depending on the day.

Q: Any other tips/tricks for creating an easy yet chic capsule wardrobe?
A: For capsule wardrobe, a color story is key. My closet consists entirely of earth tones with a heavy emphasis on white, beige, and tan. All of my pieces can go with each other, so I don’t really need to have much. I also love pieces that can function as casual or dressy with simple touches. I only buy what I absolutely love and feel confident in. Over time my personal style has developed more and I've been able to really hone it. I have a few quality pieces of gold jewelry and a handful of shoes that never let me down - like my multiple pairs of Salt + Umber!
